The Cedar Glade at the Ohio Governor's Residence and Heritage Garden is one of the more unusual little ecosystems represented in the garden. It’s modeled after the limestone cedar glades found in southern Ohio, especially around Adams County, where thin soils, exposed limestone, heat, and drought create a harsh but specialized habitat. The garden even includes stone brought from an Adams County quarry to help recreate that environment.
