Another Trip Around the Sun

Spending a birthday at the Heritage Garden, camera in hand, felt like a pretty good way to spend the day.
The garden is beginning to turn toward fall, and so am I. The blooms are fading, the light is changing, and there’s a different kind of work happening now.
I spent the day taking pictures, talking with the volunteers, and listening to their stories. That may be one of the best parts of this place—the people who keep showing up, bringing their knowledge, humor, and willingness to get their hands dirty.
It felt like a good way to mark the end of my summer here. A summer of photographs, questions, mistakes, discoveries, and a whole lot of learning.
Now it’s time to see what fall has to teach me.

Alright… Hope, do you know where this picture was taken in the garden?
