For a few weeks in midsummer, its enormous flowers become the centerpiece of this garden, tying everything together. What was once a collection of promising plantings suddenly feels complete. The blooms draw the eye, but they also draw life—bees, butterflies, and other pollinators that depend on native plants throughout the season.
