Early April in Columbus, the pollinator garden is just waking up. Perennials are pushing fresh growth from the soil, trees and shrubs are leafing out, and the first hardy blooms are beginning to show—but quietly. There are only a few flowers, yet the structure of the season is already in place, with early nectar sources starting to emerge for any bees and insects venturing out on warm days.
